Text Box: Luminous Color with Underpainting and Glazing Jane Jones If you LOVE COLOR AND DETAIL, then this is THE workshop for you. 5-day workshop, Monday-Friday November 3 – 7 9 am – 4pm $575 Full course description Learn the technique of underpainting and glazing with oils to make your colors as beautiful and luscious as possible. Begin with an opaque underpainting using values of a neutral color that will make your completed painting glow with light. Glaze with layers of gorgeous transparent color to create rich luminous effects. Control value to create dimensional forms and the illusion of light. An alkyd medium will be used to make the process easy and quick drying. Great for beginners who want to control the painting process. And a wonderful addition for more advanced painters who want to take their work to the next level. Jane Jones is the author of Classic Still Life Painting and her work has won numerous national awards and has been included in many national publications, including American Art Collector, Southwest Art, and The Artist’s magazine where she is a regular contributor.
