Mira  Welnowska, a native of Poland and a resident of Jackson, New Jersey, has been an active artist since 1990 creating works of art in the Realist tradition.   Ms.Welnowska started painting in oil under the guidance of John Osborne, a nationally recognized painter of traditional portraits and landscapes.   She has later developed an interest in human form, portrait painting and sculpture.   The interest has led to study at The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art,  The New York Academy of Figurative Art and The Art Student League of New York.    Her lengthy education has provided her with a meticulous academic background for undertaking virtually all classical and figurative forms.
