Jean Hutter
The work of artist Jean Hutter springs from her love of nature. The abstractions
of form and mass evoke a feeling of grand spaces one can only feel when
standing on top of a mountain looking down into a valley of plains and fields.
This living landscape dances across the paper, inviting the viewer to come
back again and again. This type of work does not capture a moment in time
but rather a feeling or response to something you have seen or remember.
An explorer at heart, Hutters non-objective world is composed
of many paths of line and color that has a language all their own. Layer
upon layer of watermedia leave a thin veil of the color that has gone
before evoking a feeling of places we all might have been once in our
lifetime. "Im a very impulsive person so this kind of painting
really appeals to me". This method of work is called experimental
painting - acrylic, watercolor, inks, colored pencil, collage and just
about anything else can be used in a painting. Its a very exciting
way to work, but also very challenging and thats what makes these
works so unique.
A resident of New Jersey, Hutter is an experienced painter having made
the transition from computer graphics to fine art impressions that are
truly original only to her. She is an exhibiting member of The Guild of
Creative Art in Shrewsbury, signature member of The Baltimore Watercolor
Society, ISEA - International Society of Experimental Artists, The Ocean
County Artists Guild and numerous other art groups. Her work may be seen
in many corporate and private collections as well as on the internet.
She is represented by the Watermark Gallery in Tuckerton, NJ.
